Kindness is a virtue that is often overlooked in those working or volunteering ministry together, kind of ironic, don’t you think? We recently interviewed Greg Atkinson, author of the book, The Secret Power of Kindness, on the Church Solutions Podcast. He shared about how kindness is many times not common for those serving together in ministry. We are so focused on getting the job done, on reaching people for Christ, that we forget to be kind to the people we are serving with. But kindness is essential in ministry. It is a way of showing love to others, and it is a way of building relationships.
There are many reasons why kindness is important in ministry. First, kindness can help to create a positive and welcoming environment. When people feel welcome and appreciated, they are more likely to be open to what we have to say. Second, kindness can help to build relationships.
